Heather Hansen is a naturalist and award-winning journalist and author, often writing at the intersection of people and nature. Her work has appeared in newspapers and magazines from San Francisco to Johannesburg.
She is co-author of Solitude: The Science and Power of Being Alone and author of: Wildfire: On the Front Lines with Station 8 and
Prophets & Moguls, Rangers & Rogues, Bison & Bears: 100 Years of the National Park Service.
Hansen has been interviewed in print and on radio, podcasts and television. She speaks regularly at bookstores, conferences and libraries on wildfire, solitude, national parks, climate and conservation.
